White men who love Black women- why?

So, I was on my lunch break at work when one of my coworkers joins me. We start talking and the topic of interracial dating comes up. Now, I've written a post before on this topic, however, this one is on a lighter note. Well, anyway, my coworker, we'll call him Jeremy. Jeremy (who happens to be white) is absolutely in love with black women, which, of course, is not a bad thing. So I thought I would ask for his reasons for being more attracted to black girls than any other race. His answer? Because their black. I didn't know what to really think of the answer. Surely that couldn't be the only reason why he liked black girls. Do we not have anything else to offer besides the color of our skin? I would have even taken that we have big butts (though not all of us do). But it was just simply because we were black. Now I know this answer does not define every white male who likes black women, but it made me wonder, besides skin color (??), what really makes black women appealing to the white men who like them more than white women (or any other race). With me personally, I've been told it's because I'm not loud-mouthed and ghetto like black girls usually are (not my words, but the person who told me this). This person described me as 'white-guy material', which is a term that I hated. I can't stand this stereotype that black women have bound to them- that we're this bunch of loud, ghetto, multi-colored weave having, different baby-daddies, food-stamp using, living in the hood things. We're much more than that, I think we're much different than that. The black female community is not always as it is portrayed on television shows like Maury and sites like Worldstar HipHop, though, don't get me wrong. there are some women like that. But we have much more to offer than just a big butt and being black. Some black women are some of the most intelligent, thoughtful, sweet and honest beings out there. What some may confuse as loud-mouth, could simply be a black woman being outspoken (after all, no one like's it when someone disagrees with them). I would never want somebody to date me just because I'm black. I don't want to be a trend for guys that are feeling daring. I want someone to date me for my personality, my intelligence, what I have to offer to their heart. Anyway, I'm rambling now (which is a very bad habit of mine) If you're interested comment, if not :P Whatever, free country (well... mostly)

I learned to appreciate black women many years ago when I was young, living in a predominantly black neighborhood (Inglewood, CA) and was the only young white guy on my block and in my apartment complex. It was probably just inevitable that I'd hook up with one of the single black women in my building, and it happened. She was sweet, calm, very companionable, not shy when she wanted lovin' -- and 10 years older than me. So I developed a hunger not only for black women, but mature black women as well. I know that probably most guys have said this at one time or another, but she was the one that I *should* have married, even though both of our families probably would have disinherited us (this was 35 years ago). Stupid me, I let her go.

hi kim...i loved your post and appreciate the fact that you brought up the subject. i cant really speak for others but i know that i grew up around sexy black girls and have always dated them as well. i think there are probably a lot of reasons why white guys love ebony ladies. i love them because i have found them to be the sexiest most beautiful women with the best personalities. i appreciate you asking the question because i get that all the time (especially from ebony ladies) and it does make me think about it but i know who and what i am attracted to. so for me it is a lifetime desire, an attraction, and i think that anyone who is smart and gives it a chance they would be hooked like me!

Personally it is the contrast of color that turns me on. I would love to see my skin up against a darker,more exotic skin color. Simple explanation for me

He answered your question based off his personality which seems to be lazy(he didn't really think about the question) and I don't think he really thinks what he said. I am going to do my best to answer your question without stating facts about the general publics rationale regarding white men who like black girls.

Have I cleared my name?

Black women are beautiful because of their complexion and figure just like any other nationality. What attracts me is their complexion and figure which is with a fine line different from other nationalities. What keeps me is the individuals personality. I have had amazing "ratchet" women conversations, I have had amazing educated conversations, and I have had incredible spiritual conversations with the same "Ratchet" woman who was talking to me about life.

Stereotypes are real. They don't apply to everyone and are at various degrees of real.

I've had great sex with black females with and without butts. Ive also had terrible sex with the most incredible butts(my fault).

Butt why do white men like black females?

Is it the finesse!? Is it because their figure is like calligraphy!? Is it because they'll cut you down if your eyes wonder? (Jk the last one)

It shouldn't even be a conversation…but it is. Society did that. I like my lady because she is stunning, beautiful and intelligent.

Black women have the best smiles!...I also like the personality; not that all are the same but the ones I have met have pretty strong personalities and I feel attracted to strong women...I also love their bodies, they're always sexy

From my experience, most black women display more of the alpha type personality ( like you said some do, some don't) which like the others have said already, gives a no shit, straight forward attitude.. many men like a woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to let you know what it is. That's regardless of race. Now for some it.. really truly could be because they like the look of dark skin, or it could be a social taboo ( yes it still happens in this day and age, regretfully) and they lust for what they have always been told they can't have. Now I'm going to show my roots for a second, another reason could be simply they was the only white boy in da hood, and they grew up only knowing black girls.. lots of psychology behind the question you pose,I can't wait to see what the responses look like from here on out.
