The World's going mad . . .

Two twelve year old boys (here in the UK) have just been charged with murder.
(12 is the youngest age you can be charged with a criminal offence in the UK).
They stabbed to death an 18 year old man.

I am so grateful guns are contrary to the law here.

SeaStories1983 : I went to the USA to do my Masters (in AR).  With a Drivers Licence (you know how tricky they are to get . . .) I was able to buy Assault rifles and/or a .5" laser sighted snipers rile!  With that calibre it won't matter if you're in an armoured limousine, and a bullet proof vest will prove to be NO USE AT ALL.  I own weapons here - very difficult to obtain - and I'm happy their use is so restricted.  I LOVE the USA, great place for a holiday, but I wouldn't live there - even though I could.  (I still have a Green Card and I'm married to a Dixie Chick).  The Right to Bear Arms has been SO misinterpreted.  Shame.

Yeah, we Yanks just can't seem to put the evil genie back in the bottle. I mean mu*rd*er is Mu*rd*er wherever you go and however you do it. We just are so goddam efficient at it here with military grade firearms and nearly universal access. . . *Sigh*
