Friends or Subscription

Hello all,

There is a wonderful button on each profile called the subscribe button. I do not know how many of us use it. For me, I have at least 10 times more profiles that I have subscribed too than I do friends.

Friends for me are for people I share with often and often chat with. If I lose contact with them or they in me I will delete them. Friends are just that friends.

Now, I do appreciate that many of you like the sites of someone or what they upload, but if you have no intention of being a friend, why not subscribe? Seems simple.

Who gives a rats ass if you have 10,000 friends, they do not mean anything unless you talk to them, you cannot possibly talk to them, share or some other way are in contact with them. It is not a competition to see how many friends you can get on here, at least I hope it is not.

So please if you do wish to be a friend, comment or send a PM and stay in contact. If you do not... see you later...

I do love friends, I do love to chat and comment, so if that is your intention, please send me an invite....

It sure can be that is for sure, but if true friends and chat once in a while it is a different thing... I subscribe to many times more than who is on my friends list...

You still see all they post which is great and keep your friends list small to keep up with friends...

It is a nice way to put it.. Just love the person's content or favorites but do not see the connection to them for friends.. I do get that.. But also.. It is also important if you are friends with someone and good friends, it is ok to be silent for periods of time:) I fully agree with your comment.... Just a little hi or a comment once in a while is nice though.... if not more....

I've been calling that the fave button. And yeah, sometimes a girl doesn't want to friend a person because she doesn't want to have to worry about PMing with them. Some people are absolute bores but they have interesting content.

Yes, collecting is a crazy thing, there is no point to it, not a popularity contest at all. Friends are friends in my opinion.

I do respect, very much so, that you leave your site to friends only, that is a personal choice and must be respected. We all share what we feel comfortable with and for each of us that is different...

I agree with most of what you said (don't see the point of collecting friends just for the sake of it), but I have a slightly different viewpoint. There are people (like myself) who have their profile set to "friends only". I can't speak for other people but I do that because I simply don't have the courage to open up my feelings to the world. So although I'm not very chatty, I do have friendships that are mostly for sharing content with people I have learned to trust.

I use the subscribe button a lot myself . . . If someone's profile has some content I enjoy I subscribe to them. If I want to be friends I strike up a PM conversation. I have struck up many really friendships with folks on her . . . .

to fukbuddy : So called friends can disappoint, but there are the few that are wonderful and should be cherished. They are out there my friend... I agree, with favorites and subscriptions there is no investment which is safe..

"Friends" disappoint, "Favorites" don't get the chance because there is no investment in them...I should practice more of what I preach....

this is completely wright. People with more than 1000 friends cannot speak to them. So therefore choose your friends wishley and discover the meaning of the word friend if you wish.......

I prefer to subscribe and favor various users, like you. I chat with many via the message feature, and I can check in on various users who don't upload much , but really take my time and enjoy what they have faved. Just to make it clear, in the beginning, I tried the "friend" thing...and trust me....I got schooled....lol. I'm happy with no "friends" and access to those I really enjoy daily....Amen.
