Photo uploads - a thing of the past?
For quite some time now, we have no longer been able to upload photos to our profiles.
I emailed Xhamster a couple of months ago and asked when this issue was going to be resolved and got the standard reply of:
"The photo upload feature is under revision and will be restored later."
Obviously, this didn't provide me with any information that I'd asked for. However, I decided to hold on a while, in hope that things would be resolved *later* and we would be able to upload our photos again. Sadly this hasn't happened.
So, I emailed Xhamster again today, asking if they could provide me with any updates about when we could upload photos again.
The first reply I got was this:

Please note that the upload functions able for creators' accounts only.

A little strange, I thought.
So, I emailed again, saying:
"I don't quite understand. I have always been able to upload my photos with no other complications until recently. I can still upload videos but not photos - this has changed - and it still says that "The photo upload feature is under revision and will be restored later".
What does that actually mean?"
Things became even more strange. I received a reply which said:
Hi,
Thank you for your email.
It has been removed in order to protect the rights of content owners and to prevent the distribution of potentially prohibited content.

Am I the only one here thinking that this is slightly odd, or am I totally missing something and being a little dim?
I mean, sure, the email replies I got were very brief and certainly didn't go into any great detail, but where is the logic of allowing members to upload videos but not photos if everything comes down to *prohibited content*?
I'm struggling to make sense of this.
Is Xhamster moving in the direction to where everyone needs a *creators account* - whatever that is?
Are photos now a thing of the past, whereby we can keep our existing ones on our profiles but won't be allowed to upload any new ones again at any time in the future?
If that's the case, it's not looking good.

You have no idea of what I do and don't do.
I've resorted to submitting a couple of videos in the absence of being able to post fresh pictures. It's a lot harder work though, to get a video right. It also takes up a hell of a lot more space on their servers too, well at least I would think so. Maybe it's easier to save other people's photos locally and not their videos?
I have noticed that you can send photos by message but that just isn't the same. I don't want to have to go through a message chat process just to see somebody's cock. I'd rather just admire cocks anonymously.

The site's lack of clarity may be a product of conflict between what they'd like to do & what's actually possible.
I guess that at some point in the not too distant future, a few things may become clearer - hopefully.
It makes more sense now.
however, I do agree with your comments that if they're [Xhamster] are wanting to limit guest membership then we need to be told about it, rather than just being given snippets of information that make little sense as a response to our questions. As outlined in my original messages, the responses I got from them were incredibly vague.
