So...

When you were younger, what did you want to do with your life? Had you followed your dreams, what would you be right now? Me, I wanted to be a scientist. Specifically, an Earth science (geology, volcanology, meteorology, paleontology, etc) but you know how it is; life has a tendency to look at your plans and laugh. It's easy to get lost in your head and wonder if all the good things make the bad shit worth it; sometimes that is harder to feed yourself than others.

Anyway, what did you want to be? Are you happy with who you are?

кому: Monk3yMing0 : That's really sad, I'm sorry you have to deal with all that. I hope one day you wake up and find everything bad has turned around for the better and you find yourself determined to live on. It won't be easy, nothing ever is, but I believe you can make it possible. I personally always wanted to be a race car driver. I especially enjoy drag racing and NASCAR from the 60s-90s. Unfortunately I'll never live my dream either, the vast majority of us don't.

кому: Monk3yMing0 : I hope you can come to terms with your mental health. Depression runs in my family, so I get you. I’m available if you ever want to reach out. You’ll find no judgement here.

кому: pifad : This makes me happy. I like that you found your peace, and learned to love yourself. I still haven't come out to my family, probably never will because it's none of their fucking business. I'm happy with me, and that's all that matters in the long run. Now, my mental health on the other hand; now that's war I'm still fighting.

I always wanted to be a horticulturist and of course that didn’t pan out. After my military duty I got a job with the government, got married, raised my family and eventually buried my wife of 44 years. I came out at 69 and am living my true life. No more looking over my shoulder, being extra cautious around family, etc. so yeah, I’m happy with how things turned out.

I know we do not know each other at all but we seem to have similar issues with our mental health. If you ever need a non judging, understanding ear you can reach out.

I can empathize with all of this. My life has been really fucked up and traumatic. I have several health issues I'm simply choosing not to address, pretty much hoping I'll go to bed one night and not wake up.

I am really not happy with who I am or where I am right now. Most of the time, I pray that God with just "pull the plug"

I honestly can't remember what time wanted to do with my life. I do know that I did not wish to be where I am at right now. I am so far away from where I wanted to be
