I must have drained my balls about 100 times to this scene on VHS tape as a kid. Late night, everyone asleep, you bust out the freeze frame and the frame by frame on the VCR remote. Came buckets.
By the time the setting of the show was moved to California, their characters rough edges had been toned down. The two of them being part-time writers for the show probably had something to do with it. Check out the Kurt Russel film, "Used Cars" to get a taste of how wild they were in the first couple of years. They've got only a 10 minute role as satellite hackers, but it's hilarious.
