sorry folks that I haven't put up a recent gallery. Work at shipyard is 7 days a week 12 hour days. Gonna do this grind for 2 more months. Got camp set up,and suplies moved in. Had rain yesterday but not to bad. Was windy today so went up river and set crawfish traps today. Cold front came in so happy happy no nats. Gonna check traps tomorrow and gonna try to set blue crab traps tomorrow, been catching trash fish at camp but they make good crab bait for crabs. About time, the gov lifted ban on beaches and sand bars. Went out this morning to check out my spot. It was all good a little wider a lot longer,but plenty of drift wood to burn. Gonna have to level a new camp site,so looks like I'm gonna be working tomorrow. Can't wait beer,burbon, fishing and not stuck in the house. Can't wait to set some catfish lines. Well it's been a good run on the bar but sadly it's time to go. Bad thunder storms rolling through today, with heavy rain up north . That means the river is going to be rising and by tomorrow my camp will be under water. All good tho got camp all packed up and cleaning the bar up leaving no trace is the rule. I just hate coming home after being outside for so long, the house feels like your sitting in a box, but have had a blast fishing, boating, hunting and best of all BURBON it's the best.… Citește mai mult

Took the boat out to the rigs today water was a little rough but not to bad. Caught a 18lbs grouper and two nice red fish about 9lbs each. On the way back stopped at some of the barrie islands while getting back to sand bar,was hopeful to get some flounder but it's been to warm here lately so that was a no go. Got the boat gased up, extra Gas for generator and picked up some supplies . Took the grouper and one red fish to loves and fishes, to much meat for me right now so figured feed others. AND got more burban had to wait in line to get it ,all good. And yes the sand nats still suck!… Citește mai mult

Was a great day weather has been great, killed 2 small pigs , the sow was to fast and missed. Got the 2 dressed and on the fire roasting, gonna be a tasty dinner tonight. Put up another catfish line today so lets hope for more fish tomoro .buddy stop by with a burbon and beer restock good times good friends, the sand nats still suck all good. Put up a trout line today,got 5 big blue catfish.....yummy fried dinner. Found hog track so hopefully I'll be eating a pig later. Sucks out of burbon but got plenty of beer. The sand nats suck all good. Missippi sand bar life!!… Citește mai mult

Well they shut down the shipyard till April 17. Every thin here in Mississippi is grinding to a stand still, all good tho got food know how to fish and hunt. 2 deep freezer full of deer, rabbit,squirrel,duck and plenty of shrimp and fish. Be nice to take this break and un wind some. Gonna take the boat up river find a nice sandbar put up camp and relax. Guess it pays to be a southern country boy.
