I love apricot tofu, and my beaver loves it too. But what we don't love is the way it sticks to the pan. In fact, it makes me kind of angry. Don’t stick to the pan, goddammit! Yet despite the chaos, we still manage to have good times and discuss philosophy while cooking dinner naked.

I used tofu alot in my Chinese-Indonesian style cooking, based on Hollands colonial past. In those yearsmy fiancee would often come home late from her journalistic job bringing along a few girlfriends. Thus my role of chef de cuisine turned into gerant, ober, and dishwasher in between, in a similar small kitchen with little space to cut and mix ingredients. I got really good at that. Never too tired to take the ladies for ait of dancing each in her turn.
