How I got into shooting porn.

Friends on here have asked how did I get into shooting porn. Just over 20 years ago when hard-core became legal here (only decades after most of the rest of W Europe) I thought it would be interesting to shoot I'd always been interested in porn, and pre-2000 my quite frequent work trips abroad usually allowed me to sample the delights of Euro and US adult stuff, and quite often bring a couple of mags or CDs / DVDs back hidden in my luggage and thankfully never discovered by HM Customs. A week in New York in the early 80s was a hell of an eye-opener. It was real 'The Deuce' times and the area round Times Sq and 42nd street was packed with sex shops, cinemas and live shows. So in 2000, with porn legal at last I did a bit of searching online and found a producer who was looking for collaborators. I contacted him and though he was into BDSM which is not really my bag we got on well at a meeting and I shot a video called Brothel Shakedown over 2 days in locations around E London. His next one was a much bigger effort shot in 3 days in a castle in Kent with a large-ish cast, called Secret World. Set in Victorian times it featured group sex, lesbian and a lot of caning. I got paid rather well for it which was nice. A year later we did another in what had been the dock side police station in Newport. Same sort of content as the previous video and decent money as well. It went a bit quiet after that one and not long afterwards the producer died, which considering how he mistreated his own body with dope and no sleep didnt really come as a major surprise to those who knew him. Before I met him he'd been quite a character in the UK then-i*****l porn business and had even done time for smuggling 500 porn VHS tapes through Dover. End of an era when he left us, and also pretty much the end of getting paid to shoot.

I now had to look around for another producer and found one doing a dirty amateurs site. I did a dozen or so shoots for him before he moved abroad. My day job was getting busy so I didnt search around for shoots and just 'advertised' in various on-line places. That got me a few shoots for little or no money but they were fun. I also got friendly with a stripper and got her a bit of modelling work and a few blow-jobs off her as a thank you.. I did a shoot for a guy I knew from porn-biz social events and in the pub after I was chatting to the young black guy who had been in the video. Turned out not only was he looking for a cameraman but he lived about a mile away from me. I started shooting for him and though there's little or no money in it for me, except for when we do private client videos, we have a good time. We've done several gang-bang parties, as well as content share shoots with quite a few well know girls, and private stuff. Went a bit quiet over Covid of course but it's picking up again now, though I lost 3 shoots in a row with him recently; model dropped out, model brought her own cameraman, I was busy. The little or no money doesn't bother me, and since there's lots of guys who would pay to be there, (several are friends on here and keep asking if they can come along and help) I just do it for the fun really. I've never set up my own shoots, I cant be bothered with all that side of the biz, and I have no financial involvement in selling material, I dont have a web-site, and the only use I make of what I shoot is I will sometimes edit some stills and clips for the girls as a favour. I have a well known porn photographer friend and she tells me that the admin, legal and money side of her v busy shooting life can be overwhelming. I'm best not getting involved in that side and just do what I do quite well, which is shoot good looking girls doing filthy things AND I LOVE IT.
