PORN WEBSITE XHAMSTER: PAYMENT SERVICE KLARNA ENDED COOPERATION
Berlin - The payment service Klarna ends its cooperation with the large porn site Xhamster.
Videos from Xhamster can no longer be paid for via Klarna in the future.
A company spokesman confirmed to the German Press Agency on Friday in Berlin that the integration via instant transfer on the site has been switched off.
The move is the next in a long line in which major financial firms will no longer provide their services to porn websites.
In the US, Visa and Mastercard terminated their collaboration with the industry giant Pornhub after a report by the New York Times criticized the uploaded videos (TAG24 reported).
The newspaper had reported cases of exploitation of minors, which ended up on the website. In the case of private videos in particular, it is not clear whether the people shown have consented to the recordings or the sexual intercourse shown.
The website is doing too little to check this or the legal age of those shown. There are similar allegations against Xhamster.
