I grew up in north east Paris in France in the mid/late sixties. Racism was rife then. Being mixed race, I struggled to integrate with any ethnic group. But I was raised to respect human beings for what they are. Human beings. I couldn't care less about their colour, origin or language. I had to grow up pretty fast and was soon big and practiced enough to look after myself. That's when I took it upon myself to start looking out for perhaps weaker people who were set upon by others because of their ethnicity. And I was taking no prisoners. If anyone was to behave inappropriately in front of me, and displayed any kind of racist behaviour, they would soon know about it and learn a lesson they would never forget. I'm certainly not one to turn the other cheek. More like eye for an eye and I'm still that way to this day.

I agree. I wasn't raised to hate people I was taught take people for who they are not what they look like or where they come from. We only have a short time here just have fun and be kind to each other.

I've despised the "sam crow" attitude of white americans in this country, which is why I love seeing white women with black guys, it just pisses off dumb,inbred crackers even more, especially in the south, one day, in the not so distant future, the white race WILL be bred into extinction, and I say good riddance...

i think this is really important... i've noticed that some of the white people into BBC seem to think of Black men as objects whose sole purpose is to satisfy white people's fantasies. Given that, it may not be so strange that they are ok with Black people being treated as non-human, and Black lives as not mattering..
