July 2021 - Why we're leaving XHamster

Very sorry to say, we're so sad, frustrated, and fedup with XHamster, that we'll be leaving this platform this year. We're experimenting with newtumbl https://allfantasies.newtumbl.com and also posting on blacktowhite https://www.blacktowhite.net/members/allfulfilled.99068

Here are the reasons we're leaving:

1) A few months ago XHamster changed its video ranking algorithm to favor paid content producers. Prior to that change, our videos were regularly ranked in the Top 10 when we published them, and stayed in the top 10 under the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly rankings. We were honored that members drove our videos to the front page, and kept them there, and we were especially proud of the fact that female members were a prime source of support with our videos topping the "Porn for Women" category (a category which XHamster has since eliminated). Under the new algorithm, our videos are never on the front page, and rarely get more than 10K views on the day they're published. Given all the time and effort we put into creating them, it's no longer worth it to us to post here. It's.a shame that XH manipulates rankings to make money rather than letting users vote things to the top.

2) Also a few months ago, XHamster started censoring videos and photos. This was part of the wave of censorship that swept Pornhub and other platforms. We understand the pressures to censor (although we don't agree with them). What really pisses us off is that XHamster is not transparent or consistent about what they choose to censor. Instead, about half our videos and galleries have been removed with no explanation given. Our deleted galleries included our Awakening Emi series, which as far as we can tell, violated no site rules. Some videos were deleted outright. Others were moved into the "Awaiting Moderation" status and have stayed there for months. Again, no explanation. We posted our latest video, Episode 3B, weeks ago, and it has been "Awaiting Moderation" ever since. XHamster is using "Awaiting Moderation" to censor videos, rather than bothering to set a consistent standard and offer a clear explanation.

3) The site's features have fallen behind other platforms. The most obvious one is that you can't even upload pictures any more. Another example is that virtually every other tube site allows you to skip forward or back 10 seconds by clicking on the screen. Not XHamster. Finally, blog posts like this don't even show up on the mobile version of XH. These are just a few of the many serious shortcomings we've noticed. To be blunt, XHamster website development SUCKS, and it shows no sign of improvement. We have no hope that XH will actually address these issues, because we've asked moderators to do so several times, with zero results. So, we've decided to leave.

Sorry for the rant. We are frustrated and angry because our work drove tens-of-millions of views to XHamster over the past few years, and yet our pleas for help or explanation go unanswered. The best thing about XH has been the user community. We're grateful for all the wonderful people we've met here and for those of you who've become fans and commenters on our work. We hope you'll follow us to our next destination.
