Quick rant - I don't think men having partner sex should touch their own genitalia, especially to finish off for the orgasm. Ever (exceptions below).
Here's the reason: it's taking away something that your partner probably wants to feel empowered to do, to provide that 6 seconds of euphoria that represents the male orgasm. Also, that's what you do when you're alone, not when you're with a partner. It's like serving the wine and taking a drink for yourself and snubbing your partner.
