to Nickyhere : My military service was over long time ago, keeping the USSR russkies on their side of the iron curtain as part of the largest electronic spying community in Europe. It irks me greatly that the US military left Europe too soon and now they are a H*tler-like problem that are difficult to remove.

I give my best annual Christmas wishes to you today! I hope you may find a chance to watch one my favorite Christmas movies: Elf with Will Farrell, Scrooged with Bill Murray ,The Holiday with Kate Winslet, The Grinch and A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey. And most of all I wish for F16s flying over Ukraine soon. And all that has been promised to Ukraine fully comes into their possession soon.

to Nickyhere : Here from across the pond, we were warned as a nation, by an outgoing President Dwight Eisenhower of the rising power of what he referred to as the "Military Industrial Complex". I believe his speech was made in 1960. And of course, he had earlier served as the Allied Supreme Military Commander in the Second World War. I am not so sure many really listened to his prediction. Billions being made by that group over the last 60 plus years since that speech. It is all about the dollars. 🤔

Nicola- Thought provoking post. Rather interesting in the perspective of our current times. The amount of money being wasted on war, never ceases to amaze me. All that our nations could have if they did not fund the weapons of war. As for anyone that has seen the smoke and carnage of war, it is etched in a mind. It may get tucked away,but never is fully gone.

Great track - not seen that before, was a big fan of "Nigel". That was such a good era of music, it was a privilege to be growing up in the middle of it. Watched the video of this (Generals) and thought, "That looks a lot like Richard Branson". Quick trip to Wikipedia, and indeed is IS RB himself appearing in the video. Gotta love pop trivia...

I hate to sound like a crazy conspiracy theorist, but the war that Hamas started is working to distract nations from supporting Ukraine. If not by design, by coincidence. Now some Hamas aligned pirates are attacking the US Navy!
