It now says the photo feature is under revision and will be restored later, so it looks to be coming back..

to john_Lennon88 : I agree with you 100%.  For my own peace of mind I'm just trying to understand what happened and figure out how (or if) things can get back to normal.  There are lots of confused, angry users out there, including me.  I'd hate to see Hamster disappear because they could not or would not tell us what is really going on.

to drgoodhead : I am verified and still deleted random stuff like me and my gf (non nude showing bit her armpit hair) to babes of the 90s, etc etc. Why they even had a Voyeur or Teen sub in 1st place? Also never get why porn sites have 'hairy' as a fetish too, be cool if had trimmed & shaved too

According to the New York Times and the CNN website there is a strong "anti-porn" law hidden in the stimulus bill passed by the U.S. Congress. The Feds are really cracking down on (mainly) "exploitation of .... people whose birth year begins with the digit 2" and also on "copyright violations".  I think Hamster got caught by surprise because they have not done a good job policing this site.  They got scared and panicked.  I think they will do whatever they need to do in order to stay in business. Have you noticed that the "Voyeur" category has disappeared?         Hamster user jana-chen  says the same crackdown is happening in Europe.  On her profile she has posted a lot of detailed information which is worth reading.  The politics is pretty complicated.  Right now Hamster users are confused, scared and angry.  Many of them are unaware that you can't post anonymously any more; you need to be a "Verified User".  I hope Hamster will eventually provide  a detailed explanation of all that is happening so we can decide where to go from here.  I lost 1200 Favorites in the great purge.  I am very frustrated and disappointed at the moment, but I think I will be patient for a while and see how it all shakes out.  It will take time to get back to normal.  While it is true that the number of new postings is down by about 90% compared to November, people are slowly beginning to post again, and I think that is a good sign.  But we have to give it some time.
