How to get videos to post in HD on xhamster
Ok I think I finally figured out a combination that works. Encode with H264 or x264 as AVC1 video and aac audio using an mp4 wrapper that writes UTC header codes and use 1280x720 or 1920x1080 resolution. If you use handbrake, use one of the Apple profiles to get the UTC headers. Otherwise, you can just run your mp4 through Avidemux and use mp4v2 muxer and 'copy' for both audio/video.
If you are using virtualdub w x264 and change the fourcc in the settings to use AVC1 and pcm audio, then run that avi through, avidemux and encode to MKV, using video copy and audio to aac (Faac). Then I use mkvtoolnix, add the avi to keep the original x264 video stream, deselect the pcm audio, add the mkv from avidemux, unselect it's video stream (because it makes it choppy for some reason) but leave it's aac audio to make a new mkv with the avi's video and mkv aac audio stream. Then open that new mkv into avidemux using copy on both audio and video using the Mp4v2 muxer option.
