Pornist Life 1: How to Organize your Collection?
Every pornosexual has to deal with the issue of how to organize one's collection. There was a discussion on this the other day on Discord, and it led me to an important realization.
The question was basically: how do you organize your porn, by goddess or by category? Pornobator does it by Goddess. You can see for yourself, since he's blogged before about his collection: https://xhamster.com/posts/907034 It's worth a read, as you can see it's a simple but perfect method. Anytime he's in the mood to worship a goddess no matter how many hundreds are in the list, he can just go down alphabetically and dive right into everything he's got of her.

What about my collection? Well, I'm not so sure it works too well, and my system has changed a lot over the years ever since I began downloading more and more. But what I've done in recent years is to organize everything by studio. It made sense whenever I've subscribed to a site, as that's how I'd remember a particular scene.
The screenshot below shows what my desktop might look like at any given time when I'm worshipping. I browse my collection for each studio, and then open it in a new window to find a scene (Of course, things work best with multiple screens especially when you've got other porn stuff on at the same time. Personally I've found two large monitors to be most ideal, but it's also nice to have more porn in the background on other screens like your TV, tablet, etc).

Within each folder for a studio, I've tried out different options. As you can see, I actually have subfolders for each scene as I like to save both the video and photo sets.
I used to label each subfolder by title and name of pornstar(s), followed by release date so I know when it's from. But I soon realized this was useless because I couldn't easily look up a goddess without having to search. So I've been renaming subfolders by goddess first and then other details, as you can see below:

I've been simplifying this further so I now have a clean list of subfolders for each goddess and I put her scenes in there. The major problem remains that I still have to look up each studio to find a goddess, and I don't always remember who made a scene I'm looking for. So I might need to revamp my whole system, and adapt Pornobator's example so that I have a major folder for each goddess and then subcategorize by studio. What do you guys think?
Another problem is, what about scenes with more than one pornstar? This gets tricky, so I'd love to know if any of you want to comment on your methods. I've ended up creating a folder for group scenes within each studio. For threesomes, I save the scene under either of the goddesses (say, whoever I like more) and then create a shortcut in the other goddess's folder.
Clearly, organizing a porn collection is something that you can keep improving on. I know there's also some software that tech-savvy pornists have created for this purpose. I'm thinking of trying one out, maybe once I get a new computer.
For now, I'll conclude by discussing a key point I realized when thinking about all this: how you organize porn says a lot about your level of pornosexuality.

Many casual masturbators don't even download much (let alone pay for porn!). They'll just log into a tube site, look up a random scene or category and they're satisfied with a quick jerk. Maybe that's how most of us were when we started out. In fact, you'll note that genres or category tags are often the main feature of these sites, and obviously that's a good thing.
But when a devoted pornist masturbates, it's all about the goddess! He has to pump and stroke because of who he chooses to worship, and there's nothing casual about it. You carefully study a goddess and her career, and you spend hours exploring and "appreciating" her fuck scenes till your cock is sore. Sure, category matters. But it's not enough. I love a good ATM scene, but the most important aspect is whose asshole it's coming out of and whose mouth is sucking.
In other words, Goddesses above all! As true pornists, we don't just masturbate – we worship! To raise our cocks for each goddess is a ritual act, and we edge, leak and spill our sacred seed for them in hours of devotion. The porn collection on your hard drive is therefore your Holy Bible, and each subfolder is the Gospel of a Goddess.
Because porn is our religion! Amen.

My biggest regret is trusting my whole collection to xHam, which as you know is now undergoing major changes to become much more monetized and less friendly to the non-paying porn fan that this site was built on. I’ve had a few galleries inexplicably deleted, without warning. Luckily though, I’ve thus far escaped fairly lightly compared to what many other members have.
Why-oh-why didn’t I back up my many thousands of photos? Right now, I’m frantically doing that, grabbing my pics back from xHam one-at-a-time. It’s very time consuming, and will take months.
So if there’s any of my pics here that you particularly like, I urge you to grab them before they’re gone. It sure sucks to have to say that
I personally keep it simple and go for a 'by Goddess' approach, but have toyed with the studio approach, though don't think I'd ever scale the heights described here. Superb work, bro. Superb.
