An open letter to my friends:
I'm going to step away from this (again!) and try to re-focus my energy and manage my time better. For years now, I've been shooting off my mouth about my opposition to MAGA and the repellent creep currently occupying the White House. I can't continue to rationalize the hours I spent wanking away here for hours on end while the Trump and his brown-shirts are dismantling institutions that are protected by our Constitution; they are wagering that the complacency and laziness of our people will allow this to happen. They may be right about that...
There was a part of me that hoped Trump 2.0 might not be as dreadful as promised...and that was wishful thinking of the least defensible kind; I knew better. So, if I'm going to shoot off my mouth, I need to get up off my ass and act like a participant in the world. A grown-up, of sorts. Ironically, I came to this conclusion just as I'm about to turn 69! Coulda been such a fun year...
