Cuckold Film Review Vol.1

Love ch1ld (1974)
Trapped in an abusive marriage, a lovelorn woman (Dyan Cannon) begins an affair with a young artist that results in a baby. She leads both husband and lover into thinking the ch1ld is his. Living in fear of what would happen if her husband found out about her infidelity, she becomes increasingly unhappy. Her lover is consumed with murderous intent toward the cuckold. And then, whilst she is enjoying her lover, tragedy strikes her infant...

A Nice Touch (1963)
A successful Hollywood actor seduces and convinces his lover (the beautiful Anne Baxter) to kill her abusive husband, then makes a phone call. An Alfred Hitchcock short. No nudity.

Les noces rouges (A wedding in blood) 1973
A man and woman, each in an unhappy marriage, take comfort in each other by having an affair. The man euthanases his wife to give himself more freedom with his lover, and the cuckoldress arranges for him to kill her impotent husband too. She cold-heartedly lures her spouse to a remote area and sits impassively by as he is bludgeoned to death by her eager lover.
N.B. The cuckoldress is played by Stephane’ Audran in this film directed by her husband. She starred in over 20 of his films, many of which placed her in the role of unfaithful wife. It is said her husband liked having her do these kind of roles - this probably means he had intense cuckold tendencies himself. In one film, he (her 2nd husband), directed a love scene between her and her 1st husband!

Anyone for murder? (1964)
Alfred Hitchcock does cuckoldry in this one! A husband is drawn into a web of intrigue and jealousy as the younger lover of his wife hires an assassin to kill him. The alluring Patricia Breslin is provoking as the neglected wife who knows how to get what she craves elsewhere. No nudity.

The Night Heaven Fell (1958)
A great one for Bardot fans...
A young Bardot arrives to stay with her aunt and uncle. There is a fight between a man and her uncle and Bardot notices her aunt smiling as the man initially bests her husband. She later comes to realise that her aunt is having an affair with the man. There is another altercation between the two men and this time the husband is killed. The aunt is thrilled and fucks her lover (the killer) on the night of her husbands funeral. The aunt is played by the sexy Alida Valli.

Mandingo (1975)
Interracial cuckolding as a white plantation owner buys a prime slave to breed and use in fights. The pettish and sexually neglected wife of the owner (Susan George) seduces the magnificent slave to strike at her indifferent husband.

The Shout (1978)
An enigmatic drifter inveigles his way into the cottage and lives of a married couple. He uses craft and aboriginal magic to drive a wedge between the couple and displace the husband. The wife (who is played by Susanna York) is very receptive indeed and welcomes the arrangement. In one scene, the bull orders the cuck out of the house so that he and the wife can go to bed. The cuck pleadingly appeals to his wife who snaps at him “you heard him!”.
Eyes behind the wall (1977)
A couple (he a newly crippled, ageing invalid, she, sexy and much younger than he) spy electronically on the handsome young man who is a tenant in one of their properties. Seeing him doing his exercises in the nude, she becomes attracted to the young man and, at the old man’s suggestion, she begins a sexual relationship with their tenant –she alone knowing that their love-making is being observed at all times by the older man.

Submission (1976)
Lisa Gastoni is on fire as she portrays the mature, sexually neglected, owner of a shop. Her smouldering lust and wantonness is gradually enflamed by her younger shop assistant as he increasingly comes to sexually dominate her without the knowledge of her husband. In one sexy scene she is groped intimately whilst on the telephone to her unsuspecting spouse…

Macabre (1969)
A cold scheming blonde (deliciously played by Teresa Gimpera) conducts an affair with the twin brother of her husband. She urges murder, but they then plot to steal her husband’s money, not by killing him, but by torturing him and driving him to the brink of insanity, so that, once he’s institutionalized, she and her lover can run his estate and have all his money!

Killer Looks (1994)
A man gets turned on watching his wife with other men as long as she plays by the rules. When she brings home a new stranger who likes to play his own games, the husband finds his marriage in jeopardy.

Young Casanova (Sexuellement vĂ´tre) 1974
Gerard Casanova is the man that all the rich and beautiful women call when they need a little more than their husbands can give them. Several cuckold scenarios in this light hearted comedy – in one, he makes the lady telephone her husband as he takes her anally. In another, surprised by the husband, he has to quickly hide beneath her bed and listen as the husband makes love to the now uninterested wife. Another of his conquests (Valérie Boisgel) is delivered up to him by her husband – she likes to role-play being a ‘widow’ grieving for her ‘dead’ spouse! Good fun.

Zandalee 1991
Bored with her marriage to burnt out poet turned corporate executive Thierry, Zandalee falls prey to an old friend of her husband, the manipulative and egotistical Johhny and becomes enmeshed in a sensual, passionate and destructive affair. But it isn’t only the flames of their erotic affair that are fanned by the steamy heat of the deep New Orleans nights; hatred, desire and revenge stalk the lovers’ with a relentless precision, and for Zandalee, the moment of truth arrives with a terrifying finality.

Soon Karen s seductive spell is cast on the whole family, leading to a string of deception, crime, and eventually murder. Come see the sexy temptress in action and find out why she is truly A WOMAN FOR ALL MEN!

Lady Caroline Lamb (1972)
Cucking here in the traditional sense of the word. The story of an upper-class lady who scandalised herself by openly cuckolding her husband with the poet Lord Byron in early C19th England.

In Praise of Older Women (1997)
Set in the turmoil of the Spanish Civil War. A young man comes of age sexually through a string of relationships with a wide range of mature older women. Some of these women are married and cuckold their husbands with this young man. A hand-job from Faye Dunaway! Nice one!

Confessions of a Frustrated Housewife (1976)
Carroll Baker is the mature wife of an ageing industrialist. Her husband, to battle his growing impotence, is seeking the company of younger women and finds himself unable to satisfy his needy, beautiful wife at all. She begins an affair with her handsome stepson. When all comes out, the husband is keen for the cuckold relationship to continue between his wife and son…

The Ghost (1963)
Barbara Steele is the single-minded cuckoldress in this ‘Hammer’ style film set in the Scotland of 1910. A physician, egged on by his lover, kills his friend and patient, her husband. Supernatural occurrences then ensue and the pair of lovers seem to be in some way haunted by the dead cuckolds spectre in this dark tale of lust, betrayal, and hatred. No nudity.

Slavers (1978)
A mild bit of cucking from Britt Ekland in this film set during C19th East African slave trade. The film commences with Ekland, the wife of a German noble, being the cause of a duel in which her husband kills her lover. The couple, to avoid disgrace, are sent to Africa to scout out prospective colonies for the German Empire. She becomes attracted to a rugged adventurer, and fucks with him in a secret tryst after eluding her husband. A good scene ensues, when, whilst preparing for bed, she is asked by her husband (who she thought she had duped) if “she had enjoyed it”.

The Third Lover (1962)
A young man ingratiates himself into the lives of a married couple intending to supplant the husband in the affections of the lovely, seemingly devoted wife. He soon discovers she already has another lover and is told by her that her husband is aware and approving of the fact. Things then take a darker turn. The wife is played by Stephane Audran – no stranger to cuckoldress roles.

Two males for Alexa (1971)
Rosalba Neri plays here a young woman who marries a much older, but very wealthy, man for his money. She soon takes a lover - and her husband soon finds out. The trio all decide to keep the arrangement going as it suits all parties, but after spying on the unknowing lovers as they enjoy each other, the cuck has a sudden change of heart – bizarre consequences ensue…

The Lover (1963)
A television film based on the play by Harold Pinter, and starring his then wife, Vivien Merchant, in a svelte and stocking-clad role. A sophisticated couple indulge in cuckold style role-play to spice up their marriage. Sizzling with sexual tension. No nudity.

Jealousy; Italian Style (1970)
Monica Vitti stars in this black comedy as a feisty flower-seller who cuckolds her boyfriend with his best pal. The scene where the cuck confronts the lovers in public is really hilarious. (No nudity).

Face of a stranger (1964)
A young Rosemary Leach is the blind wife of an imprisoned husband who engages in a spot of double-cucking and incitement to murder in this 60s British feature. A released cell-mate (himself cucked by his own wife!) of her jailbird hubby becomes her lover and a plot is hatched to obtain the still hidden loot of the husbands crime. No nudity, but a nice plot twist at the end.

The Deadly Affair (1966)
British espionage thriller. An agent sets out to uncover the hidden facts behind a British government employee’s suicide, whilst all the while being openly cuckolded by his wife. There is an intriguing scene where the wife provokingly asks him if he wants to know the identity of her lover and is disappointed and pettish when he says not.

In Praise of Older Women (1978)
Set in wartime and post-war Hungary, a very young Tom Berenger plays a young man discovering his sexuality through a series of encounters and affairs with randy, mature, married women who are all too eager to cuckold their husbands. One of his conquests (played by Karen Black) is superbly pettish and affronted when she catches her young beau making passionate love with her best female friend.

La vergine, il toro e il capricorno (1977) (Also known as: The Virgin, the Bull and the Capricorn).
This Italian sex-comedy has the voluptuous Edwige Fenech as a housewife who learns that her husband is a philanderer. At first, to get her own back, she just makes him mad by flaunting herself and flashing her breasts to men, but after he errs once again, she sets her eyes on a good looking gigolo, much younger than her foolish husband.

And God Created Woman (1956)
Set in St. Tropez, a young Bridgette Bardot famously plays a wanton and promiscuous young woman desired by all the men around her. Married to one brother, who is devoted to her but staid in nature, she inevitably cuckolds him with his more exciting older sibling – an act that leads to v******e between the two men.

The Sins of Madame Bovary (1969)
Cult actress Edwige Fenech takes the lead role in this film based on the classic novel by Gustav Flaubert. A social-climbing and wanton young wife cuckolds her small town doctor husband with a series of other men and leads her family to financial ruin. It seems implied that the husband knows of his wife’s behaviour, and indeed discretely puts her in the way of her suitors. In one scene she is awoken in the small hours of the night by a female servant (who is in league with her) and is told her husband has been called away on a medical emergency. She immediately, wearing only her nightgown, excitedly runs through the night to the arms of her lover who lives across town.

A Guide for the Married Woman (1978)
A young Cybil Shepherd stars in this comic look at the life of a young housewife. Bored with her flagging marriage, and encouraged by her adulterous girlfriends, she first contemplates, and then initiates an affair. Fantasy and reality mix often, leading to complications and headaches as she seeks to cuckold her husband. No nudity.

Attraction (1969)
A taboo-smasher of the late '60s from Tinto Brass. Featuring Anita Sanders as a married Italian tourist experiencing a whirlwind trip around swinging London. Amid anti-Vietnam war demonstrations, the trendy fashion scene, v******e and sex, she undergoes a bewildering journey through the psychedelic English youth scene that awakens and feeds her growing carnal desire to experience inter-racial sex. She resolves to enjoy a negro lover before returning to the arms of her husband.

Lorna (1964)
A film directed by Russ Meyer. The magnificently breasted Lorna Maitland shows a great deal of her natural assets as she plays a frustrated and bored young woman in the first year of her marriage. Forced to live her life in a remote rural area, the slatternly wife one day takes a lover as her doting husband is at work. At the workplace, her spouses workmates are giving him a hard time about Lorna's supposed infidelity, not realizing how close to the mark they really are. A fight starts, and as it progresses the wife, at home, is busily surrendering her honour to her lover – the same honour that her husband is battling in a vicious fight to defend. Trouble ensues as her battered man returns home early from work because it's their anniversary…

Goodbye Emmanuelle (1977)
Sylvia Kristal once again takes the title role in this, the third offering, from the popular franchise based on the books of Emmanuelle Arsan. Set in the Seychelles, hotwife Emmanuelle and her husband are enjoying a hedonistic and open-marriage lifestyle. Things begin to sour for them when the wife takes on a new lover. Although he is initially indifferent and remote from her, this lover comes to fascinate Emmanuelle who soon realises she is developing feelings for him. The husband, noticing this, becomes jealous and hostile, all culminating in a scuffle between the two men in which the husband is bested in front of his wife. Following this altercation, she leaves with the victor and enthusiastically gives herself to him once again. The scene is now set for deceit and lies, as lover and husband vie for both the favour and possession of the wife.
