The rough and tumble

I am enjoying my short time on here and hope it's not too annoying for anyone else. I've gotten comments and few friend requests. That's all great.
I sent a PM to one of these new friends, someone who asked to be added. Their profile suggested they might have some insights to share pursuant to my writing ideas. For a response I was blocked. Wow... that seems a little abrupt. Are we 'friends' or are we just click bait ants on each other's hills?
