I completely agree with you, why allow strangers to fuck your sprouse in any given way but no kissing? My wife and I have been with two couples and we'd had a threesome with two guys. She kissed them all, and I kissed the women in the couples, but not the men *grin*

The only reason (as said below) could be the connection of kisses with intimacy and/or feelings more deep than sex. I think for some it is the separation between love and sex. Face to face, intimate kissing would appear to be over that boundary and imply a relationship and that is probably not acceptable to most men wishing to keep some sort of ownership or control of their woman. For other men, kissing is part of sex and without the ownership barriers, can be integral for the lady to enjoy a more fulfilling experience. Go ahead and kiss, deeply and passionately, I say!

Possibly in the way that hookers do not like kissing clients, these husbands subconsciously look on a wife who will let a stranger do whatever he wishes at such times in the same way.
