The Drive of My Life..
I have been doing a lot of soul searching of late. But little did I know the answer would possibly find me on a trip to see my family.
My Family live near the countryside, the journey is full of windy, bendy roads. It was here I may have found my answer.
Like many cars , my car has several 'Driving Modes'. I have always driven it in 'Eco Mode'. And I mean always.Since I brought the car, I got into the habit of putting my seat belt on, slipping it into Eco Mode and switching off that annoying stop/start function before driving off.
But today I did something I have never done before. I decided to put the car into 'Sports Mode'. The felt different to drive. It was more responsive, more aggressive. The bendy roads became a joy to drive on. At times, it felt like the car had too much power fr me...but I quickly learned how to adjust to control it. This driving experience was a breath of fresh air. It was exactly what I needed. It was here where it hit me.
Control. Sports Mode for my life. I enjoyed the edginess that the drive brought me. The drive was much more adventurous, much more dynamic. All of a sudden, the mundane became the exciting. It was new. It as fresh.
For those of you who have read my last blogs, you knew that I have been going through a rough time of late. I considered leaving a few times. Last week, I lost control and met someone off here at 6 in the morning. It was stupid. But it was fresh. It was careless. But it was exciting,
What I need is to live my life differently. To live on the edge of losing control, but not actually losing it. Much like my drive today.
Clarity. I see it now.
Thank you to all of you who wrote such lovely comments on my blogs. Thanks for being supportive and being there for me. It meant a lot. I always read every single comment you guys leave for me. Thank you.
I am slipping my life into sports mode for a bit. Enjoy the ride.
