I am back

Just a quick blog to let everyone know I am doing okay. I did miss the conversations, though going without porn was good for me. Had some wonderful love play with the wife during the time, so it wasn't a sex fast. ;)

I have been running & walking the whole time. I did the 10k trail race on the 16th of August. My goal was to be able to complete the race without walking. On a trail race, that is hard to do. While I made it up the first long hill without slowing to a walk, I did jog, there was one section where the trail was so narrow there was no way to pass, so you had to walk. Also, drinking water while running is hard enough on level ground, all the more difficult while on unstable footing. Finally, there was a couple hills while not as grueling as that long first climb, the change in grade mid hill just sapped the momentum out of you. Still, I was quite pleased with the accomplishment and the workout, setting the bar for next year. I ran the race in 1 hour, 22 minute & 27 seconds.

Now I am training for the MS Challenge Walk. 50km or 31 miles over two days. This past Friday I did a 14 mile training walk. Just stopped to change socks about half way. Hoping to start an 18 mile training walk shortly. If the weather will work with me. My phone is indicating a thunderstorm right now. I have to check the weather channel shortly.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Labor Day Holiday. Take care and enjoy!

to phillymark1 : Thanks, Hon! I used to bicycle when I was back in Upstate, NY, but haven't in a while & my bike needs a new seat, but I am still running & walking, along with Zumba, Circuit Training, Spinning, & P90X classes at the gym. I typically get 4 to 5 good work outs a week in. If the rain would hold off, my might get more running in.

incredible, walking is a great way to stay in shape. I do at least two hours of walking daily along with frequent bicycling and it has really helped improve my physical condition, reduced my blood pressure, and knocked off some unwanted weight
