SHRIMP FEST



I am an ocean
A cat remembering
Wonderful days
Of predators
And fancy feasts

You remind me
Of the Beatles
Lennon and McCartney
at the piano
a promise of
Inspiration

I wish I were sober
Enough to write this
I have slept
Through this before

an ocean
Swelling
swirls
Of anticipation

I miss this
