Have you ever?
Have You Ever?
Have you ever danced naked by the light of the moon?
Danced to the rhythm but forgotten the tune?
Have you ever kissed a lover at Scarborough Fair,
With the waves on the foreshore and the wind in you hair?
Have you ever climbed a mountain because it was fun
And lay in the flowers in the afternoon sun?
Have you ever seen an eagle high on the wing,
Or sat in the dark while the nightingales sing,
Have you ever made love by a camp fire light,
And whispered of love in the quiet of the night?
Healing the wounds and forgetting the scars,
Have you ever laid back and looked at the stars?
Have you ever seen beauty by night or by day,
So precious that it clean took your breath away,
So wondrous it made you want to kneel down and pray,
But however hard you tried found no words to say?
Have you ever known moments of wonder and ease
Of tranquility and joy and the softness of peace?
Have you ever stepped away from pain and from strife?
Have you ever known love?
Have you ever known life?

And you made a stoic show some affect, I did not cry, just a little cringe 'round the edges, right?
Thanks love, S-
Thank you Michaela for sharing it with us and being so special in many ways.

I just read your beautifully worded poem. You should really make some money from your talented insight to life and all things love.
Yes, you took my breath away with this one. You get it, don't you... You know the true meaning of pain within a timeless everlasting love.

Being honest with you I have done a few of these things. Reading this has made me think I have a lot more to do. Also correct. Some I have experienced and are a wonderful memory. Others would rather be forgotten. I have saved this in my documents. Need to go back to it often as part of my to do list before the end on not being.
Thanks much for this and your friendship. More from your wonderful mind will be most helpful.
Thank you, a beautiful poem.
Hugs,
Patrick
I went from reliving the rush of speeding with my headlights off at night to, now, feeling all heart-throbby.
"But however hard you tried you found no words to say?"
Perhaps it's because the moon is my planet but I never danced naked under the white rays,
so I loved what you wrote immediatly.
