Punishment procedures

If a woman is sentenced to corporal punishment, she must arrive at the Women's Correctional and Punishment Center, where the sentence is executed, within one week of the conviction. Upon arrival at the Center, she undergoes the following procedures:

Registration

Undressing (completely naked)

Shower and pubic hair shaving (if necessary)

Medical and body examination (including gynecological examination)

Nude mugshot

Corporal punishment (cane, birch or strap)

Medical aftercare

Hour-long rest after punishment (if she needs it)

The administrator then registers the sentence and the punished woman is allowed to leave the Center.
