Do rude people invite bad karma on themselves? Let
I've been on this site for a few years now but am only now adding a 'blog' post. While I hate for this first and, perhaps, only post to be negative, I just had an exchange with someone who's rudeness has be taken aback. I've run into a handful of others like that on here, but it still blows me away when one adult addresses another adult that way.
The woman I'm referring to never says directly in her profile that she wants to meet up with guys, but she suggests it quite strongly. In a private message, she then wrote in a perturbed, condescending tone that she isn't here to meet anyone. I understand that any woman on here (or any MF couple on here) probably gets a flood of messages from guys, some of whom are damn rude. I expressed sympathy for her and wrote, "I'm happy at least for like-minded adults to share thoughts, but if you're not, so be it," and I then wished her well. Her response following that was... to block me? Really??
In her profile, she states that some guys seem to think she is a 'bitch'. She then denies it and accuses them of not reading through her profile and paying heed to it. I wrote nothing to her that didn't follow from what she wrote in her profile, and I referred directly to it as I wrote to her. Clearly, something is off! After 22 years of marriage - as she said is the case with her - you'd think she'd be old enough to see the irony of denying in her profile that she is a 'bitch' while then replying to obviously well-meaning correspondence with a petulance more typical of a spoiled teenager.
Oh well. There are all sorts in this world, but while are there a number of THAT sort on sites like this. Indecent sex and decent treatment of others can and should go hand in hand! I do believe that sooner or later, karma will take care of those with such attitudes. In the meantime, I'd love to hear how any of you who read this have dealt with rudeness on here. If you've got any good retorts, please add them in the comments.
